With over 30 years' experience in catering and hospitality as both owner operator of several highly successful, national award-winning pubs, restaurants and hotels and as an ‘industry expert’, writing for the trade press, speaking at national conferences and working as a consultant for top FTSE hospitality business, Ali's reputation within the catering and hospitality industry is impeccable.
In 2003 Ali was the recipient of the coveted BII Licensee of the Year Award - the industry's highest accolade, and in 2012 she received Venus Women's Award for Entrepreneurship for developing CaterCost.
Her extensive and in-depth knowledge of the catering sector places her as the perfect person to head up the CaterCost development team, understanding first-hand the innovation required to improve menu-management in the catering sector.
Ali is a successful published author of what has been described as the ‘Industry Bible’ “Eat Your Competition for Lunch - 27 Golden Rules to running a successful and profitable food business” and she's recently worked alongside Alex Polizzi as Alex's ‘Pub Expert’ in Channel 5's Hotel Inspector. Since spotting an emerging trend towards ‘healthy eating’ and ‘veganism’ Ali has pioneered a catering resource for caterers with her blog ‘If not meat then what’.
